WCSO provides fingerprinting services for the general public. Citizens are often required to be fingerprinted for various job applications and other reasons.
Fingerprinting for members of the public occurs on Wednesdays (except holidays) from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Detention Center, first come – first served.
The cost is $5 a card, cash only, exact amount. We cannot make change.
A mask must be worn. Anyone with a cough or sinus congestion will not be fingerprinted.
It will take about 20 minutes to fingerprint one person due to paperwork. If you enter the reception area and there are three people ahead of you, the wait is at least 1 hour.
It is best to call the Detention Center at 423-753-1701 after 8:00 AM on Wednesday to confirm fingerprints will be done that day.
If you are needing to be fingerprinted because you have been charged with a crime (misdemeanor citation or summons), please see instructions printed on the reverse side of your citation for details on when you will need to appear at the Detention Center for fingerprinting for that purpose.
