Inmate Mail

The Washington County Sheriff's Office no longer accepts mail addressed to inmates at our facility, with the exception of legal mail that is verified to be from the inmate's attorney.

For more information on the protocols for sending mail to individuals incarcerated at our facility, please see the Inmate Mail Guide below (PDF File).

Video Visitation

We offer two types of video visitation, onsite and remote.

Onsite Video Visitation is offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Washington County Justice Center at 108 West Jackson Blvd. Jonesborough, TN 37659.

Visitors will be able to come to the Justice Center at their designated appointment time and use the provided equipment to visit with the inmates.

Visitors using onsite visitation services must be 18 years of age or older. If under 18 years of age, the visitor must be accompanied by an adult.

Maximum of two (2) adults and two (2) children may participate in a video visitation session at one time for onsite video visitation.

Each Visitor will need to come to the Justice Center with a valid photo I.D. and create an account on one of the kiosks provided. Once the account is created then you will be given an option to schedule visit(s).

Inmates are given three (3) free 20-minute onsite video visitation sessions per week.

Remote Video Visitation allows visitors to visit from home using a laptop, personal computer, tablet or cell phone.

All remote video visitation sessions cost $.20 per minute per session.

Remote video visitation sessions are held 7 days a week during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

To schedule a remote visitation, the visitor will need to go to www.inmatesales.com and follow the directions.
