The Phone Call List is a free telephone reassurance program offered by WCSO designed to enhance the quality of life for older adults, or adults with disabilities, who live alone or who are at risk of sudden illness, falls, accidents, and/or social isolation. Through the service, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office places a daily call to each person enrolled at a specified time. If no response is received, our staff will dispatch a Deputy Sheriff to the residence to ensure the person’s safety.
Anyone interested in signing up for this program is asked to fill out a short form which includes personal and other information which law enforcement may need in the event of an emergency. It is also encouraged that subscribers provide informatoon on not one but two people (such as a relative or neighbor) that possess keys to their residence in the event that emergency crews need to enter the residence to check on the citizen. All information will be kept confidential and secure at the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Citizens being checked on must live in Washington County.
Printed forms need to be dropped off at our office in Jonesborough or mailed to our address located at the bottom of this page.
