The Washington County Sheriff's Office SWAT unit is a functional organization that provides weapon and tactical expertise not normally available to patrol officers and investigators of this agency or other law enforcement agencies in the resolution of critical incidents.

Through our efforts, the SWAT unit will minimize the potential for the loss of human life or serious bodily injury. To this end, the SWAT unit will maintain the highest level of operational readiness through the development of sound tactical strategies and innovative training programs.

Wings Air Rescue recently participated in a joint training day with the S.W.A.T.
Both teams learned different aspects of the other teams tactics and training.
