Officer Curt Sells and K9 Udo, a 4 year old German Shepard, joined the Washington County Sheriff’s Office in 2006. Patrol suspect apprehension, tracking and narcotic detection are the areas in which Udo has been trained. Udo has been instrumental in making several arrests resulting in drug, money and automobile seizures. Udo has certified at the USPCA
(United States Police Canine Association) trials for narcotic detection
and tracking. Udo is also certified in patrol and narcotics with NAPWD (North American Police Work Dog). Udo lives with and rides full time on patrol with Officer Sells. Both are on call at all times.
On July 10, 2007 the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2108, raised money,purchased and donated body armor to the Sheriff's Office K-9 Program for K-9 Udo. |
